Hello! I'm Liana, a Software Engineer at Microsoft and a Mathematics and Computer Science graduate from the University of Central Florida. But you can also call me Belle. Apart from my quest to be a badass Software Engineer, I also thoroughly enjoy playing video games, reading fantasy novels, sweets, and drawing. Check some of them out here! My current obsession is Zelda - Breath of the Wild. My favorite music genre is Uplifting Trance, and my favorite band of all time is Above & Beyond. Check them out! You can also view my LinkedIn, my Github page, or download my Resume, if you're into that sorta thing.

Above & Beyond has been my favorite band for about 15 years now and going strong.
They're a genre called Uplifting Trance - and for good reason.
Their songs and lyrics have gotten me through many rough times and hardships in life.
Their messages are full of love, life, and encouragement.
Every week they put out a 1hr radio show called Group Therapy, and it's about 80% of what I listen to daily haha.
During the summer of 2019 I had the amazing opportunity to go to a 3-day camping festival in Washington where I got to meet the members and had a flag signed.
It was one of the happiest moments of my life!
I hope to have more opportunities in the future to meet the band members and continue sharing my love for what they do.
To quote one of my favorite songs by them...
Dream on, little dreamer
Follow all of your own signs
You gotta gather up what you need
You gotta choose a direction
And when the moment is right for you
You gotta go
You gotta keep your ideals high
You gotta know that the sky belongs to no one
And you know you gotta go
Dream on, little dreamer
This is how it all begins...
Pokemon has been one of my favorite franchises since it literally first came out - starting with the first games, Pokemon Red and Blue.
I've owned and played every single generation of games that has come out since.
As I grew up, I heard a lot that I should leave it behind because I was no longer a child, and for a long time I felt shame for still being a big fan.
But after a while I came to the conclusion that life is short and I don't have to leave my hobbies and interests behind as I grow older!
Playing Pokemon takes me back to a carefree time when I didn't have to worry about bills, or had any responsibilities besides some easy homework and a couple chores.
Pokemon is also a franchise with a lot of positive messages and good life lessons, and I am naturally attracted to positivity!
